# Voiceover script — Price List to CSV demo

**Read this while watching `price-list-demo-silent.mp4`.** Four lines, one per shot.
Record them as four separate files named `01`, `02`, `03`, `04` — then I attach each
one at its timestamp with `mux_voice.py`.

Nothing here needs to be shot or re-recorded. The video is finished; you are only
adding a voice.

## Before you record

- Quiet room, no fan. Record a few seconds of silence first so I can match the level.
- One line at a time, and **leave a beat** before and after each. I trim silence.
- If you fluff a line, just say it again — I take the last clean take.
- Aim for the **target length**, not faster. Being under is fine; going over means I
stretch the shot instead of cutting your sentence.

---

## Line 1 — 0:00 to 0:07 *(target ~11 words, on screen: the messy sheet)*

> This is a typical service price sheet. Dot leaders, a minimum, "call for pricing."

**Direction:** flat and slightly weary. You have seen this file a hundred times. Point
at `minimum $40`, then `call for pricing` as you say them.

---

## Line 2 — 0:07 to 0:15 *(target ~24 words, on screen: the finished table)*

> Here's the same sheet, as rows. Fifteen of them. Price, unit, and the line each one
> came from — and notice it kept "call for pricing" instead of inventing a number.

**Direction:** the "instead of inventing a number" is the part that sells it. Slight
emphasis there, not a hard sell. This is the longest line — do not rush it.

---

## Line 3 — 0:15 to 0:21 *(target ~15 words, on screen: the three steps)*

> Three steps. Paste the sheet, choose CSV, click Start. That's the whole thing.

**Direction:** brisk. Land the "that's the whole thing" like it is almost a
disappointment how simple it is.

---

## Line 4 — 0:21 to 0:28 *(target ~22 words, on screen: the price card)*

> Twenty cents a price list, not per row. Up to a thousand rows, and nothing at all if
> it doesn't find any prices.

**Direction:** plain and level. Do not push the price — the "nothing at all if it
doesn't find any prices" is doing the work.

---

## Optional — if you want a 2.5 minute YouTube walkthrough later

Goji's long script is in `price-list-youtube-script.md`. It expects you to record your
own screen. **My version is different and worth knowing about:** the 28-second demo is
built from real Actor output and can be regenerated whenever the Actor changes, so the
long version could be assembled the same way — narration plus my footage, without you
screen-recording anything.

Say the word and I will build that. This short one is the safe first step: it is done,
it is accurate, and it needs ten minutes of your time rather than an afternoon.
